There are many more encouraging Bible verses from David in Psalms and from the other Bible writers. вЂњFor the Lord God is a sun and a shield the Lord will give grace and glory, no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.вЂќД«eing our light and our protector through the tough times is just a taste of what God has to offer. Like this one from Psalm 84:11, which happens to be one of my favorites I wrote about, He was routinely calling out to God to give him help, strength and joy in the midst of lifeвЂ™s trials. King David wrote a good portion of that book and evidently he really needed some encouragement. One of the best books to turn to for encouraging Bible verses is Psalms. They can inspire us even in the midst of lifeвЂ™s turmoil. God, through His words, has given us many encouraging Bible verses to which we can look and draw hope and comfort. Even those close to us like friends and family may not be able to help in the way we need.ДЇortunately, there is One to whom we can always turn. There is no question in difficult times we need to be lifted up. And when these occur, turning to God and reading some encouraging Bible verses can help. Times that hurt, that didnвЂ™t make sense and when all hope was lost. ItвЂ™s just a shame the ageing system doesnвЂ™t kick in much earlier.WeвЂ™ve all had some dark times in life. The result is a game with a strong identity of its own. All credit to Gunfire Games, though, for trying to build on the Dark Souls template rather than just borrow it.

ItвЂ™s a slightly shaky project, then, as hinted at by the fact that itвЂ™s not the prettiest PC game youвЂ™ll ever play. By the time its health was down to the final tenth or so, I was just desperately hammering the attack button, (correctly) estimating that my remaining health would outlast theirs. The final boss in particular is a bit of a mess, defying all my attempts at a graceful victory. While a few are fun to defeat once you work out how best to counter them, generally theyвЂ™re not actually as fun to fight as the regular enemies. Then there are the bosses and mini-bosses.

A sliding tile puzzle? What is this, a 21st century videogame, or a Christmas cracker prize?

Many are pleasingly simple, some are a little too simple, one IвЂ™ve solved twice without understanding precisely how, and one is a sliding tile puzzle. There are puzzles sprinkled throughout the experience, though they arenвЂ™t really the gameвЂ™s strong point. (Image credit: Gunfire Games, THQ Nordic) What this also means, though, is that working out a technique to cut through an enemy type that previously flattened you is immensely satisfying.

The melee combat, which varies slightly depending on the weapon and shield combo you use (which will likely change as you find and upgrade items), leaves little room for error. On anything but the lowest difficulty, you can expect to die dozens of times before the credits roll. Of course, things arenвЂ™t quite as simple as that. Living in a post-apocalyptic world with a whiff of Nier about it, you're sent through a portal into a fantasy land to find and slay a dragon.

While fans of Remnant: From the Ashes can enjoy plenty of prequel references here, Chronos stands just fine on its own. Difficulty is locked in once you've started your game though, which makes it hard to experiment to find what's right for you. It's clearly not the way to make certain systems shine, but allows a wide range of people to enjoy other parts of Chronos. Of the three difficulty options (so, definitely not a Souls game), the lowest allows you to cruise through with relative ease.
